Qatar calls for de-escalation after Iranian attacks on Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait By Simran - July 10, 2026

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) stated on 9 July 2026 that the State of Qatar condemns in the strongest possible terms Iranian attacks on the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait which it described as flagrant violate sovereignty these countries and a violation consequences international law.


The statement emphasized the need for dialogue and calm in achieving stability in the region.


The MoFA underscored the imperative of ensuring that the region will not be affected by 'the repercussions of these unwarranted aggression.' It urged for ongoing dialogue and diplomacy, a further reduction in tensions, and added momentum building on the Memorandum of Understanding to contribute to regional and international peace, security and stability.


Qatar Reaffirms Solidarity


The Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's full solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, condemning any measure taken by these countries to uphold their sovereignty, security, or national interest.
